Muzaffargarh (Republic Pk) A case has been registered against Crime Control Department (CCD) officials on charges of kidnapping citizens for ransom.

According to the CCD, on January 16, the officials kidnapped a citizen who was engaged in the business of linde and his companion from the market of Jatoi tehsil and kept the hostages in a private prison, framed them in false cases and threatened to kill them, then released them after paying a ransom of Rs 12 lakh.
According to the CCD, 3 of the officials involved were detained and suspended, further investigation is underway.
