US F-35B Lightning II fighter jet crashes

 

California City (Republic PK) A US F-35B Lightning II fighter jet crashed in the US state of California, but luckily the pilot managed to escape by parachute.

According to the US Marine Aircraft Group 11, the single-seat F-35B fighter jet crashed before reaching the runway at Marine Corps Air Station at around 10 am local time.

According to the US military, the pilot jumped out of the plane in time, which saved his life. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, where his condition is out of danger.

After the crash, firefighters controlled the wreckage of the plane and the grass fire that broke out around it, while the cause of the crash was not immediately known. The US military has launched an investigation into the incident.

It should be noted that the F-35B Lightning II is one of the world’s most advanced stealth fighter aircraft, capable of short-range takeoff and vertical landing. The aircraft costs about 102 million US dollars and is used by the US Marine Corps, the British and Italian air forces.
