Port of Spain (Republic Pk) Pakistan easily defeated West Indies in the second Test match to level the two-match series 1-1.
According to details, The West Indies team returned to the pavilion on the fourth day of the second Test after scoring 117 runs in the second innings. Thus, the Pakistan team, which had a lead of 43 runs in the first innings, had a target of 75 runs to win the match, which the national team achieved with the loss of 2 wickets.
Like the first innings, Abdullah Shafiq remained not out in this innings as well, he played an innings of 24 runs. This time, captain Babar Azam also remained not out and he also scored 24 runs. Apart from them, Azan Owais and Imam-ul-Haq were dismissed for 18 and 9 runs, respectively.
On the fourth day of the Test in Port of Spain, the West Indies team resumed their innings at 103 runs for 6 wickets, but the Pakistani bowlers kept them in check with magical bowling. The West Indies team was all out after scoring 117 runs in 47 overs.
West Indies batsman Brandon King did not come out to bat due to injury. Qaim Hodge was the top scorer for the home team with 34 runs, while Tignes Aryen Chanderpaul and Roston Chase scored 17 runs each. For Pakistan, spinners Ali Usman and Sajid Khan took four wickets each, while fast bowler Mohammad Ali took one wicket.
The West Indies team was bowled out for 344 runs in the first innings, in response to which Abdullah Shafiq’s unbeaten 160, Babar Azam’s 88, young Azan Owais’ 55 and Sajid Khan’s 30 runs helped them score 387 runs and gain a lead of 43 runs over the home team.
