Bannu and Lakki Marwat Police Neutralize Five Militants
Bannu/Lakki Marwat: A joint operation by police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has resulted in the killing of five militants in the border areas of Takhti Khel and Hovid.
According to the Express News, the operation was launched after intelligence confirmed the presence of militant elements in the region. The action was carried out under the direct supervision of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu, Sajad Khan.
Local residents extended strong support to the security forces, with many standing alongside police personnel during the operation. Officials confirmed that all five militants were neutralized, while police officers remained unharmed.
Community members expressed solidarity with the police, stating that they were committed to supporting the force in maintaining peace in the province.
RPO Sajad Khan reiterated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police are always prepared to safeguard public safety and ensure law and order. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed praised the efforts of Bannu and Lakki Marwat police, commending their bravery and professionalism in the successful operation.
