Media Reports: Sajid Akram Used Indian Documents to Travel

New Revelations

Media reports indicate that Sajid Akram and his son Naveed Akram, accused in the Bondi Beach shooting, were in the Philippines throughout November. Philippine immigration authorities confirmed their arrival from Sydney on November 1 and departure on November 28.

Alleged Training

According to BBC, the suspects may have received “military training” during their stay. Officials added that Sajid Akram entered the Philippines using Indian identity documents, while his son Naveed Akram is an Australian citizen. The purpose of their travel remains under investigation.

The Attack

Australian police stated, according to media reports, that the Bondi Beach shooting appears linked to terrorism and extremist ideology. The suspects opened fire during a religious gathering, killing 15 people and injuring dozens.

Evidence Found

Authorities reported that improvised explosives and flags associated with a militant group were recovered from the attackers’ vehicle. Several victims remain in critical condition in Sydney hospitals.

Official Response

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the incident seems to be driven by extremist thinking. He confirmed security agencies are conducting full investigations and noted that Australia is reviewing gun laws and tightening security measures in response.
