Gujrat: An unusual case has emerged in Gujrat where police, on the orders of the District Police Officer (DPO), registered a sexual assault FIR against a former son‑in‑law and a so‑called “Jinn”, described as a demon.
According to the FIR lodged at Kakrali Police Station, the complainant Samira alleged that her former son‑in‑law Kabir, aged 17, was possessed by a demon referred to as “Jinn” Adil. She claimed that whenever the demon took control of Kabir, he assaulted her.
The incident reportedly occurred in Bhadr village, within Kakrali police jurisdiction. The FIR text stated that the demon inside Kabir forced physical relations with the complainant, and therefore both Kabir and the “Jinn” were named as accused.
Police confirmed that the woman’s medical examination has been conducted, with results expected within one to two days. SHO Kakrali added that raids are underway to arrest Kabir, while noting that the complainant described the demon as being “in love” with her.
Officials said the case will proceed according to law once medical and investigative reports are finalized, making this one of the most bizarre FIRs ever registered in Gujrat.
