ISPR: 18 Militants Killed in Balochistan Operations, Six Soldiers Martyred in Kurram

The Inter‑Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that 18 militants were killed in two separate intelligence‑based operations conducted in Balochistan on October 28 and 29.

According to the military’s media wing, the first operation took place in the Chiltan Hills area of Quetta division, where security forces engaged militants after receiving intelligence about their presence. Following an intense exchange of fire, 14 militants were killed.

In a second operation in the Buleda area of Kech district, troops targeted a suspected hideout. The ISPR reported that the compound was destroyed and four militants were killed during the action. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the sites.

The ISPR emphasized that the operations were part of ongoing efforts to eliminate militant networks and restore stability in the province.

Separately, the military confirmed casualties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kurram district, where an intelligence‑based operation was launched in the Dogar area. During the clash, seven militants were killed, but six security personnel, including a captain, also lost their lives.

The ISPR noted that the fallen soldiers had fought bravely and their sacrifices would not be forgotten. Security forces have since launched sanitization operations in the affected areas to ensure that no further threats remain.

Analysts say the back‑to‑back operations highlight both the intensity of Pakistan’s counter‑terrorism campaign and the risks faced by security personnel in volatile regions such as Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
