Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan Clarifies Wedding Lehenga Price After Social Media Backlash

Karachi: Social media influencer Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan has issued a clarification regarding her wedding attire, saying that her earlier remarks about the cost of her lehenga were exaggerated and the result of a slip of the tongue.

Nabiha, who recently tied the knot with a long-time friend younger than her, has been trending on social media after claiming that her jewelry set weighed a kilo and cost Rs 15 million, while her lehenga was priced at Rs 10 million. The statements sparked widespread criticism and debate online.

In a video message, she explained that sometimes people say things in happiness that sound larger than life. “It was just a slip of the tongue,” she said, adding with a laugh, “What difference does it make to anyone if I wear a dress worth one million, fifty million, or two and a half million?”

She advised her followers not to stress over small matters and instead focus on being happy.

The controversy drew reactions from celebrities as well. Actress and host Mishi Khan responded with sarcasm, questioning the claims about the jewelry. She remarked that even at Ambani’s wedding no one would wear a thirty-five kilo gold set, and joked that if such a shop exists where gold worth Rs 15 million is available, everyone should rush to buy from there.

Despite the criticism, Nabiha Ali Khan maintained that her comments were not meant to mislead but were simply made in joy.
