Orakzai District, Pakistan
According to DG ISPR (@OfficialDGISPR), Pakistan’s security forces have carried out a series of intelligence based and retribution operations in Orakzai District, eliminating a total of forty nine Indian sponsored Khawarij between 7/8 October and 9 October 2025. These operations were launched in response to the heinous incident of 7 October which resulted in the shahadat of several brave soldiers including two senior officers.
The 7/8 October Operation
On the night of 7/8 October 2025, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Orakzai District on reported presence of Khawarij belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Khwarij.
During the conduct of the operation, nineteen Indian sponsored Khawarij were sent to hell due to effective engagement by own troops.
However, during the intense fire exchange, Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq age 39 resident of District Rawalpindi leading his troops from the front along with Major Tayyab Rahat age 33 resident of District Rawalpindi fought gallantly and embraced shahadat. They were joined in sacrifice by nine other soldiers:
Naib Subedar Azam Gul age 38 resident of District Khyber
Naik Adil Hussain age 35 resident of District Kurram
Naik Gul Ameer age 34 resident of District Tank
Lance Naik Sher Khan age 31 resident of District Mardan
Lance Naik Talish Faraz age 32 resident of District Mansehra
Lance Naik Irshad Hussain age 32 resident of District Kurram
Sepoy Tufail Khan age 28 resident of District Malakand
Sepoy Aqib Ali age 23 resident of District Swabi
Sepoy Muhammad Zahid age 24 resident of District Tank
DG ISPR stated that these men fought with extraordinary courage paying the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their shahadat has further strengthened the resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces to continue the mission of eliminating terrorism.
The 9 October Retribution
Following the shahadat of these brave soldiers, security forces launched a series of retribution operations on 9 October 2025.
Based on credible intelligence, troops moved into the general area of Jamal Maya Orakzai District where the main perpetrators of the 7 October incident were hiding. After intense fire exchanges, all thirty Indian sponsored Khawarij involved in the terrorist incident were sent to hell.
DG ISPR confirmed that these successful operations have avenged the heinous act and brought the main perpetrators to justice.
Ongoing Sanitization
DG ISPR further stated that sanitization operations are being conducted to hunt and eliminate any other Indian sponsored Khawarij found in the area. The security forces of Pakistan remain determined and steadfast to eradicate and wipe out the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country.
National Resolve
The combined results of the two operations, forty nine terrorists eliminated in less than 48 hours, highlight both the effectiveness of Pakistan’s counter terrorism operations and the immense sacrifices of its soldiers.
The shahadat of Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq Major Tayyab Rahat and their nine comrades stands as a symbol of courage and patriotism. Their sacrifice according to DG ISPR will not go in vain and has only strengthened the nation’s resolve to confront terrorism with full force.
