Pakistan Cricket Team Set for Two Separate Tours of Bangladesh in 2026
- Pakistan to tour Bangladesh twice.
- Three ODIs scheduled for March 2026.
- Two WTC Tests confirmed for May.
The Pakistan Men’s cricket team is scheduled to visit Bangladesh twice during 2026, confirming a significant bilateral engagement for the upcoming cricket season. This was officially announced by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as they unveiled their comprehensive international home calendar.
According to the BCB statement, the first leg of Pakistan’s tour will take place in March 2026, immediately following the Men’s T20 World Cup. This initial visit will feature a three-match One Day International (ODI) series.
Pakistan will reportedly return to Bangladesh soil in May 2026 for the second and arguably more crucial part of the tour: a two-match Test series. These matches are designated as part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle, making them pivotal in both teams’ pursuit of a WTC final spot.
The BCB confirmed that the 2026 home season will be exceptionally busy, featuring a total of four Tests, 12 ODIs, and nine T20 Internationals against various touring nations. While the exact venues for these contests are yet to be announced, the comprehensive schedule ensures a continuous stream of top-level cricket for local fans throughout the year, the BCB noted in its official communication.
Pakistan’s tours mark the beginning of a packed international calendar for Bangladesh. In between the two planned visits by the green shirts, New Zealand is scheduled to visit in April and May for a white-ball series comprising three ODIs and three T20Is.
The schedule intensifies through the middle and later parts of the year. Australia is slated to visit Bangladesh in June, followed by a major series against regional rival India in August and September. Both Australia and India will reportedly play three ODIs and three T20Is during their respective stops.
The long home season is set to conclude with another major WTC commitment: a two-Test series against the West Indies, scheduled for October and November. This series will reportedly begin with a three-day warm-up match scheduled from October 22 to 24. The first Test is scheduled to run from October 28 to November 1, with the second Test following closely behind from November 5 to 9.
In addition to the primary tours, the Sri Lanka A team is also set to tour Bangladesh in May 2026 for development fixtures, including two four-day matches and three one-day games. This robust schedule underscores the BCB’s commitment to growing high-level cricket within the nation, ensuring maximum opportunities for the national squad and exposure for local audiences, as sources close to the development reported.
