Pakistan’s Leaders Extend Condolences on Passing of Thailand’s Queen Mother Sirikit

Islamabad: Pakistan’s top leadership has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Queen Mother Sirikit, the revered former Queen of Thailand.

In a statement issued on Saturday, President Asif Ali Zardari said he was deeply saddened to learn of the Queen Mother’s demise. He extended his condolences to King Maha Vajiralongkorn, the royal family, and the people of Thailand, noting that the grief of the Thai nation is equally shared by the people of Pakistan. The President also highlighted Queen Mother Sirikit’s legacy of compassion, her charitable contributions, and her dignified role in strengthening the Thai monarchy.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also joined in offering condolences, describing the Queen Mother’s passing as a moment of great loss for Thailand. He assured the Thai leadership and people that Pakistan stands with them in this difficult hour. “Our prayers and good wishes are with the Thai nation,” the Prime Minister said, emphasizing the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
