Diplomatic Engagements in NYC

Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, speaking at a weekly briefing, confirmed that the Prime Minister is currently in New York at the invitation of President Donald Trump. During this high-profile visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the Gaza Board of Peace meeting and engage with top American officials to discuss regional security. Concurrently, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has been active in New York, meeting with the Egyptian Foreign Minister and the Palestinian permanent representative to coordinate diplomatic efforts.

International Outreach and IAEA

The Prime Minister also recently concluded a significant visit to Vienna, Austria, following an invitation from the Austrian Federal Chancellor. According to the spokesperson, a joint declaration was issued at the end of the visit, emphasizing bilateral cooperation. While in Vienna, the Prime Minister met with Rafael Mariano Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to discuss peaceful nuclear energy applications and international safety standards.

On security matters, the spokesperson cited reports regarding the arrest of Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta and reiterated that Pakistan possesses concrete evidence of Indian-sponsored terrorism within its borders.
