Pakistan Vows Deeper Cooperation with Algeria, Egypt at OIC Meeting

According to Ptv.com.pk, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Tuesday reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening ties with North African countries, including Algeria and Egypt. The pledge came during meetings with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf on the sidelines of the 21st Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah.

Dar described the discussions as “meaningful interactions” focused on expanding cooperation across diverse fields and improving regional connectivity. The leaders also addressed the worsening humanitarian crisis in Palestine, calling for immediate humanitarian access, a ceasefire, and lasting peace. They emphasized the need for coordinated diplomatic efforts to address shared challenges and advance mutual interests.
