Pakistan’s Film Industry Gains Global Recognition in Iran
Historic First Participation
ISLAMABAD: For the first time, a Pakistani film delegation is participating in the prestigious 43rd Fajr Film Festival, which is being held in Shiraz, Iran from November 26 to December 2. The Ministry of Culture confirmed that Federal Minister Aurangzeb Khan Khichi is representing Pakistan at the event.
Three Films Selected for Screening
Three Pakistani productions have been chosen for screening at the festival: Taxali Gate, Umro Ayyar: A New Beginning, and Actor in Law. Their inclusion marks a milestone for Pakistan’s film industry, offering international exposure and recognition at one of the world’s leading cinematic gatherings.
Global Platform for Storytelling
The Fajr Film Festival is widely regarded as a major global film event, attracting renowned directors, actors, and producers from across continents. Pakistani filmmakers and actors attending this year’s edition are expected to share their creative work and experiences with international peers, strengthening cultural exchange and collaboration.
