Visa Cancelled Over Undeclared Cases
Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt has been deported from the United Kingdom after authorities revoked his visa, which had been valid until 2027. According to Geo News, the UK Home Office ordered his removal after investigators discovered that Butt had failed to disclose pending cases against him during the visa process.
Detention and Inquiry
The development followed an inquiry launched when Britain’s MI‑16 detained Butt along with fellow YouTuber Nadeem Naniwala. The detention was based on anonymous complaints alleging links to terrorism. Both men were later cleared of terrorism allegations, but Butt’s documents were forwarded to immigration authorities for deeper scrutiny.
Outcome of Investigation
During this review, officials found undeclared active cases against Butt, reportedly flagged earlier by Pakistani institutions. This omission was deemed a violation of immigration rules, prompting the UK government to issue a formal letter instructing him to leave the country immediately.
Deportation Confirmed
Butt departed for Pakistan early Tuesday morning on a flight arranged under expulsion orders. A close associate confirmed the deportation, while Naniwala, who holds British nationality also verified the development, saying he accompanied Butt back to Pakistan.
Official Position
UK authorities stated that the deportation was carried out strictly under immigration regulations relating to visa violations.
