Saudi Bus Crash Kills 45, Indian Pilgrims Among Dead

Madinah: A devastating accident in Saudi Arabia has claimed the lives of at least 45 people after a passenger bus traveling from Makkah to Madinah collided with a diesel tanker.

Officials confirmed that the bus was carrying Umrah pilgrims from India, including several passengers from Hyderabad. Rescue teams and local authorities rushed to the site to carry out emergency operations, while efforts are underway to identify the deceased.

To coordinate relief measures, a control room has been established at the Secretariat to provide updates and assistance to the families of victims.

The Consulate General of India in Jeddah also announced the creation of a 24hour helpline for relatives of those affected. In a statement shared on X, the consulate said the helpline would remain active to provide information and support regarding the tragic incident near Madinah.
