Shehbaz Sharif in Doha to Express Solidarity with Qatar

Doha: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reached Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Thursday for a one-day official visit. He was received at Doha Airport by Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani.

Accompanying the Prime Minister was a high-level Pakistani delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

During his stay, the Prime Minister will meet the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to convey Pakistan’s solidarity with Qatar following the recent Israeli attack on Doha, an act he described as “unjustified” and a “clear violation of international laws.” The talks will also address Israel’s continued aggression in the region and explore ways to promote peace and stability.

According to PTV News, the Prime Minister will reiterate that Pakistan has always stood by Qatar in difficult times and will continue to do so, citing the deep-rooted historical and brotherly relations between the two nations, founded on shared beliefs and values.

The visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to regional diplomacy, mutual defense of sovereignty, and the pursuit of peace amid escalating tensions.
