UAE President’s First Official Visit as Head of State
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on Friday, December 26, 2025. This visit, undertaken at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, marks his first formal “official visit” to the country since assuming the presidency. The UAE leader will be accompanied by a high-level delegation of ministers and senior officials to discuss a wide range of bilateral and regional issues.
Strategic Focus on Trade, Energy, and Investment
The visit is expected to finalize several high-stakes economic agreements. Discussions will center on expanding the UAE’s investment footprint in Pakistan, particularly in the energy, infrastructure, and development sectors. Local Holiday Declared in Islamabad for Dec 26
In preparation for the VVIP arrival, the Islamabad district administration has announced a local holiday within the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) for Friday, December 26. While local schools and district offices will be closed to ensure smooth security protocols, federal government offices, the Federal Secretariat, and essential service institutions will remain fully operational to maintain government services.
