TikToker Sana Yousaf Case: Police Submit Challan to Court
The police report in the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousaf has been submitted to the court after a thorough review.
The District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad convened a hearing on the murder case of 16-year-old TikToker Sana Yousaf. The prosecution presented the report to the court after its month-long scrutiny was completed, reported Express News.
The prosecution has included 31 witnesses in the case, among them Sana Yousaf’s family, doctors, and police officials.
In the police report, Omar Hayat has been declared Sana Yousaf’s murderer. According to sources, the accused has also confessed to the crime before a magistrate.
The court stated that the regular trial of the case will begin after the summer recess.
It is reported that Omar Hayat had entered Sana Yousuf’s house and shot her dead after she refused to befriend him on TikTok.
The murder of Sana Yousaf took place on June 2, 2025, at her home in Sector G-13/1 in Islamabad. She was 17 years old at the time of her death, having just celebrated her birthday the week before.
Sana Yousaf’s murder gained widespread media attention and sparked public outrage in Pakistan. It also reignited discussions about the safety of women and violence against women in the country. Protests were organized in Islamabad by women’s rights groups demanding justice for Sana and stricter measures to protect women.
