Nagpur (republic pk) A 17-year-old cricketer committed suicide after not being selected in the Regional Cricket Association team of Nagpur, India. The young girl who committed suicide has been identified as Aditi Moreshwar Chokande.
The report says that the young cricketer had been training hard for 2 years so that she could be selected in the Vidarbha Cricket Association team and make a name for herself in the cricket field.
Aditi Moreshwar Chokande was under severe mental stress after not being selected in the Regional Cricket Association team.
According to Indian media reports, the police is investigating this matter and during the initial investigation, the police have recovered a note from the young cricketer, in which she wrote about her distress.
Aditi Moreshwar Chokande belongs to Akola, a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. She had come to Nagpur from Akola with her mother to pursue a career in cricket and was living in the Laxmi Nagar area.
For the past 2 years, this young cricketer has been honing her skills at the Serve Cricket Academy in Nagpur in the hope of making it to the BCCI-affiliated cricket academy and playing at a higher level.
It was told that Aditi Moreshwar Chokande’s brother is also a cricketer.
The police have sent the body for postmortem, the actual cause of death will be confirmed only after the postmortem report comes out.
