Sindh, 7.5% increase in minimum wage of workers approved

Karachi (Republic Pk) the provincial cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Sindh approved a 7.5% increase in the minimum wage of workers.

According to the spokesperson of the Chief Minister of Sindh, the new minimum wage will be implemented from July 1, 2026. The minimum monthly wage of unskilled laborers has been increased from Rs 40,000 to Rs 43,000.

Along with this, an appropriate increase in the wages of semi-skilled, skilled and highly skilled workers has also been approved. The new wages will be applicable to all notified industrial and commercial establishments across Sindh so that the effective implementation of the fixed wage system can be ensured.

The CM Sindh has said in this regard that the provincial government is continuing to take practical steps for the welfare of workers and providing them with better economic security. He said that the government is implementing various reform measures to protect the interests of workers.

The provincial cabinet also approved important decisions related to health, justice, and the welfare of workers during the meeting.
