Lahore (Republic PK) The Punjab government today issued a formal notification declaring a local holiday on August 4 in Lahore on the occasion of the annual Urs of Data Ganj Bakhsh.

According to the notification, district offices and all government institutions under the Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Lahore will remain closed on August 4.
The notification has clarified that this local holiday will not apply to the Punjab Civil Secretariat and other provincial government institutions and they will remain open as usual.
