Faisalabad ATC Jails 59 for Attack on Rana Sanaullah’s House
Faisalabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Faisalabad, while delivering its verdict in the attack on Rana Sanaullah’s house on May 9, sentenced 59 accused, including former Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Senate Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, to 10 years in prison each.
According to Dawn News, the case of the attack on the house of Prime Minister’s Advisor Rana Sanaullah in Faisalabad on May 9 was heard in the Anti-Terrorism Court. The anti-terrorism court sentenced a total of 59 PTI leaders and workers to 10 years in prison each.
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Faisalabad, while announcing the verdict in the case of the attack on Rana Sanaullah’s house, acquitted 34 accused, including Zain Qureshi and Fawad Chaudhry۔
The court sentenced former opposition leaders in the National Assembly and Senate, Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, as well as former federal minister Zartaj Gul, to 10 years in prison each.
It should be noted that a case of an attack on the house of former federal minister Rana Sanaullah on May 9, 2023, was registered at Samanabad police station.
