Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE Condemn Deadly Attack on Pakistan Army Convoy

Riyadh/Islamabad (RepublicPK) — Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates have issued strong condemnations following a deadly attack on a Pakistan Army convoy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s South Waziristan district, near the Afghan border.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Saudi Foreign Ministry described the incident as a “terrorist attack” targeting Pakistani soldiers, expressing “deepest condolences and sympathy” to the families of the martyrs, as well as to the government and people of Pakistan.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry, in a statement published on its official website, reiterated its firm stance against “all forms of terrorism and violence, regardless of any justification,” and conveyed solidarity with Pakistan during this time of loss.

The United Arab Emirates and Kuwait also released separate statements through their respective foreign ministries, condemning the attack in the strongest terms and extending heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and the Pakistani nation.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that 12 army personnel were martyred when militants ambushed the convoy. In subsequent operations, security forces killed 35 militants in two separate engagements.

The attack underscores the persistent security challenges in the region, even as Pakistan continues counter-terrorism operations along its western frontier.
