PTI to Launch Nationwide Campaign with Karachi Rally in November

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has unveiled plans to hold a major public rally in Karachi this November, which will serve as the opening event of a broader nationwide campaign to connect with the public.

The announcement came during PTI Secretary General Barrister Salman Akram Raja’s visit to Karachi, where he met with senior party leaders including Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh, Parliamentary Leader Shabbir Qureshi, and Jamal Siddiqui. According to PTI, the discussions focused on the prevailing political climate, organizational matters, and strategies for securing the release of party founder Imran Khan, who remains incarcerated.

Speaking to the media, Raja confirmed that the Karachi rally would be followed by similar gatherings in Hyderabad and other major cities, signaling what he described as a

“wave of political renewal” within the party.

He also highlighted recent appointments, including Mahmood Khan Achakzai as opposition leader in the National Assembly, Raja Nasir Abbas in the Senate, and Sohail Afridi as Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as evidence of PTI’s renewed momentum.

Raja reiterated the party’s stance on constitutional supremacy and the rule of law, asserting that the cases against Imran Khan were politically motivated and gradually collapsing in court. He echoed Imran’s message to supporters, urging them to remain steadfast and participate in rallies aimed at raising awareness against “oppression and injustice.”

Turning his attention to Sindh, Raja criticized the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for what he described as years of mismanagement and corruption, claiming that the province had been left in a state of “decay and hopelessness.” He said his visits across Sindh revealed widespread public frustration but also strong grassroots support for PTI’s vision of change.

Imran Khan, who has been imprisoned since August 2023 in connection with a high-profile corruption case, also faces pending trials under the Anti-Terrorism Act related to the May 9 protests. PTI has repeatedly voiced concerns about restrictions on his family and legal team’s access to him. Recently, the party stated that Imran had offered to mediate regional tensions, including Pakistan-Afghanistan relations, if granted parole.

With the Karachi rally set to launch in November, PTI leaders say the campaign will not only focus on Imran Khan’s release but also on mobilizing citizens across Pakistan to demand accountability, justice, and reform.
