Fake princess robs businessman in Dubai

Dubai (Republic Pk) Dubai Police have foiled a plot by a fake princess to steal fake royal protocol and rare oud and arrested four suspects but she succeeded to escape.

According to Khaleej Times, a woman in Dubai, posing as a princess, stole a rare oud worth 12 million dirhams (over Rs. 91 crore) along with seven accomplices. However, Dubai Police took action within just 12 hours, recovered the stolen oud and arrested four suspects.

According to Dubai Police, an 8-member gang convinced an oud trader that an important figure was interested in buying it, after which the trader was invited to a luxurious palace where his trust was gained through a royal reception and security arrangements.

According to the police, the suspects cleverly removed the valuable oud and replaced it with ordinary wood in bags and returned it to the trader. The next day, when the trader tried to contact them, all the numbers were switched off, upon which he realized that he had been scammed and approached the police.

Later, after an immediate investigation, Dubai Police arrested 4 suspects and recovered the stolen oud, while a red notice has been issued for the arrest of 4 absconding suspects, including the woman who claimed to be a princess.
