Islamabad (Republic PK) PTI has issued a clarification on the news of the death of Dr. Yasmin Rashid, a senior Pakistan Tehreek Insaf leader convicted in the May 9 cases and imprisoned in Kot Lakhpat Jail.
According to the private TV channel , the news was circulating on social media sites that the health of senior PTI leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid, suddenly deteriorated, after which she was shifted to the hospital and met the true creator during treatment.
This news quickly went viral on social media and once again dozens of users believed it and started sharing the baseless news further, and social media users started expressing sympathy.
After these rumors and uncertain situation, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf issued a clarification statement and confirmed that Dr. Yasmin Rashid is alive.

PTI’s central spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram wrote on the social networking site that ‘Thank God, Dr. Yasmin Rashid is alive and she is in Kot Lakhpat Jail, she is facing illegal detention and severe punishment for standing with Imran Khan’.
