Not afraid of death, Hasina Wajid announces to return Bangladesh

New Delhi (Repulic Pk) Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wajid, who fled her country and took refuge in India, announced her return to the country this year and said that she is not afraid of death, conspiracies have been made against her.

According to the details, a student-led movement had ended her 15-year-long hardline rule and 78-year-old Hasina wajid had fled to neighboring country India via helicopter in August 2024. A few months ago, she was sentenced to death in absentia on charges of crimes against humanity.

In an interview given to Indian media, Sheikh Hasina Wajid said that she is not afraid of death, an illegal, unconstitutional and political decision was given against her, several conspiracies were made against, but I exposed these conspiracies each time and was elected Prime Minister five times by the people’s vote and I worked for the unprecedented development of my country.

She added that I want to say clearly that I will return to my country this year, overcoming every obstacle and every conspiracy.

It is worth remembering that relations between India and Bangladesh have improved after Prime Minister Tariq Rahman won a landslide election victory in this South Asian country with a population of 170 million in February.

Bangladesh’s tension with India still persists, as Bangladesh has repeatedly demanded the extradition of Sheikh Hasina, but now Hasina Wajid has announced her return herself.
