Doha (Republic Pk) Former Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has passed away at the age of 74, which was officially announced by the Royal Court of Qatar.
The Amiri Diwan said that the former Emir passed away this morning. With full faith in the decision and destiny of Allah Almighty, the Amiri Diwan expresses deep sorrow and regret over the great loss of the nation.
May Allah Almighty shower His mercy on the late Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani served as the Emir of Qatar from 1995 to 2013.
During his reign, Qatar made significant progress in the areas of economic development, diplomatic influence and infrastructure, and then in 2013, he voluntarily handed over power to his son, the current Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
