President Erdogan Phones PM Shehbaz, Offers Türkiye’s Support Amid Flood Crisis

ISLAMABAD (Republicpk.com): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who expressed deep sorrow over the recent floods that have devastated several regions of Pakistan.

According to state-run PTV News, President Erdogan conveyed heartfelt condolences on the loss of lives and property, reaffirming Türkiye’s solidarity with the people of Pakistan. He assured that Türkiye is ready to provide all possible assistance in the ongoing relief and rescue operations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked President Erdogan for his generous offer and kind sentiments, describing the call as a reflection of the strong, deep-rooted, and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye. He emphasized that both nations have consistently stood by each other in times of need.

The two leaders also discussed their previous engagements earlier this year and looked forward to meeting again during the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, China.
