Lahore: PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has commented on the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that the “naive king from the middle class” is also infatuated with Imran Khan, and when the time comes, Imran Khan himself will be the one to cure him of this obsession.
In a detailed post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Rafique referenced the recent expulsion of Sher Afzal Marwat from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as an example.
He wrote, “I first coincidentally met the honorable Sher Afzal Marwat a few months ago in the Speaker’s chamber. Other assembly members were also present. I said to him that when Imran Khan comes back from jail, the first person he will expel from PTI will be you. Not even two months had passed when we ran into each other again in the Parliament Lodges. Imran Khan had already expelled Mr. Sher Afzal from the party. We both started laughing upon seeing each other. I asked, ‘How did it happen so quickly?’ He explained that his expulsion was a consequence of not joining the mutual grouping of Mr. Khan’s respected sister and esteemed wife.”
Referring to the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Saad Rafique added, “The new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who comes from the middle class, seems to be a naive king; he is also smitten with the love of Imran. These unfortunate middle-class political workers are straight fighters. In their love for the leader and the party, they fight until they draw their swords alone and charge into the enemy’s ranks, and they are the first to be killed. If they are fortunate enough to return alive, their own people finish them off.”
He concluded by stating, “In these disorganized and semi-democratic parties, conspirators win, not those who speak the bitter truth. When the time comes, Mr. Imran Khan himself will cure Mr. Sohail Afridi of his infatuation.”
