Mumbai: A staff member at Breach Candy Hospital has been taken into custody after allegedly recording and sharing a private video of legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra without consent. The incident occurred as the 89-year-old actor was being discharged from the hospital, where he had been under treatment.
The video, which quickly went viral on social media, showed Dharmendra in an unconscious state lying on a hospital bed. Present in the footage were his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, along with grandsons Karan and Rajveer Deol. Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur, appeared visibly emotional in the clip.
The leak triggered widespread condemnation from fans and social media users, who criticized the breach of privacy. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the hospital staff member responsible for filming and distributing the video has now been arrested. Further details about the investigation are awaited.
Just a day earlier, Sunny Deol had confronted media personnel outside his residence, expressing anger over their persistent attempts to record every moment.
