Lahore Qalandars Renew PSL Partnership for 10 Years

The Lahore Qalandars officially renewed their partnership with the PSL after a valuation conducted by EY. This renewal secures the franchise’s place in the league for the next decade.

Chairman Mohsin Naqvi described the agreement as a strong vote of confidence in the PSL. He said the Qalandars’ owners have successfully built the team into a global cricket brand, admired for its energy and innovation.

PSL Expansion Plans

PSL Chief Executive Salman Naseer welcomed the development, noting that the league will expand to eight teams starting from the 11th edition next year. He praised the Qalandars’ passion and commitment, calling it one of the defining features of the PSL.

Talent Development

Naseer also highlighted the Qalandars’ talent nursery, which has consistently produced new players for Pakistan cricket. This system has strengthened the national pool by giving opportunities to young cricketers from across the country.

On-Field Success

Under the captaincy of Shaheen Shah Afridi, the Lahore Qalandars have won three PSL titles in the last four years. This record has cemented their reputation as one of the most successful franchises in the league’s history.

PCB Statement

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with the Qalandars. Officials emphasized that the renewal reflects the franchise’s pivotal role in the PSL’s growth and in shaping the future of Pakistan cricket.
