Field Marshal Asim Munir Says India Should Not Be in Delusion

Ceremony Today

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), addressed officers of the armed forces today at the newly established Defence Forces Headquarters. The ceremony included a guard of honour presented by contingents of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, attended by senior commanders including Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf.

Appointment Background

Munir’s appointment as CDF was notified several days ago following approval by President Asif Ali Zardari on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He continues to serve concurrently as Chief of Army Staff, having earlier been elevated to the rank of Field Marshal, Pakistan’s second in history and the first in more than six decades.

Warning to India

In his speech, Munir cautioned India against any aggression, declaring that Pakistan’s response would be even more swift and intense than before. He stressed that India should not remain under any delusion about Pakistan’s resolve.

Defence Forces Headquarters Vision

Munir described the creation of the headquarters as a historic transformation aimed at integrating multi domain operations under a unified system while allowing each service to retain its individuality and operational autonomy. He said the new structure would harmonize joint operations to meet evolving threats.

Message to Taliban Regime

The CDF also issued a stern warning to the Taliban regime, insisting they must choose between supporting Khawarij elements or maintaining ties with Pakistan.

National Resolve

Concluding his remarks, Munir emphasized that Pakistan’s strength lies in the faith of its soldiers and the unity of its people, declaring Pakistan Zindabad.
