Rahim Yar Khan: Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) organized a seminar titled “Peace and Diplomacy: Pakistan’s Positive Role in US-Iran Talks,” highlighting Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic efforts and contributions toward global peace.
The seminar was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Ir. Dr. Amir Azam Khan as the chief guest. Mian Amir Shahbaz, Lieutenant Commander Mian Iftikhar, DG KIT Dr. Ahmed Sohaib, President District Press Club Rao Nauman Aslam, President Chamber of Commerce and Industries Waleed Iqbal, and Mr. Abdul Saboor were also present.
The participants paid tribute to Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Asim Munir for their leadership and efforts in promoting peace at the international level.
Addressing the seminar, Vice Chancellor Prof. Ir. Dr. Amir Azam Khan stated that Pakistan has a long and proud history of sacrifices and contributions toward global peace. He emphasized that Pakistan’s role in promoting peace will always be remembered in golden words. He further added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Asim Munir, Pakistan has gained a prominent position among the nations of the world and is playing a leading role in ensuring peace.
He noted that Pakistan’s significant achievement lies in bringing conflicting parties to the negotiation table despite complex circumstances. He also expressed confidence that hostile elements would fail and Pakistan would continue to progress and prosper.
Lieutenant Commander Mian Iftikhar highlighted that Pakistan’s role in ensuring regional peace is crucial, while participants reiterated that the Pakistan Armed Forces have never compromised on the defense of the country.
Mian Amir Shahbaz remarked that the US-Iran dialogue reflects Pakistan’s commitment to peace and acknowledged that the efforts of the leadership have enhanced the country’s global stature. He added that Islam teaches reconciliation and harmony among people.
President Chamber of Commerce Waleed Iqbal pointed out that global trade has been adversely affected due to US-Iran tensions, but the Islamabad talks would prove beneficial for Pakistan both diplomatically and economically.
Students also delivered speeches on the theme of “Greatness of Pakistan” during the seminar.

Director Student Affairs Dr. Aslam Khan, Dr. Farhan Chughtai, Dr. M. Anwar Farooq, Dr. Yasir Niaz, Dr. Majid Rasheed, Mr. Fazal Abbas, Mr. Ehsan Ali, and a large number of participants from political, social, business, and defense sectors, along with faculty members, students, and staff, were also present.
In the end of the event, shields and certificates were distributed among guests, speakers, and organizers.
