Islamabad (Republic PK) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that a peace agreement has been reached between the United States and Iran, which was also confirmed by US and iranian authorities , some deal point claimed by iranian media also circulating but not confirmed independently.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the agreement and congratulated both countries on achieving a diplomatic breakthrough. He also thanked the governments of the United States and Iran, along with all stakeholders who contributed to the peace process.
The announcement comes as US President Donald Trump and Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi have reportedly confirmed that an agreement has been reached between Washington and Tehran, raising hopes for a reduction in regional tensions.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Mehr News Agency has reported that a 14-point agreement has been finalized between the two countries. According to the agency, the reported accord includes a permanent ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon, and a US commitment not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs.
The agreement reportedly provides for the lifting of the US naval blockade and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under Iranian administration. It also includes the provision of at least $300 billion for Iran’s reconstruction and economic recovery.
According to the report, sanctions on Iranian oil and energy products will be lifted, while Iran has reaffirmed its commitment not to develop nuclear weapons.
The reported agreement further includes a US pledge not to increase its military presence in the region and not to impose new sanctions on Iran.
If fully implemented, the agreement is expected to mark a significant turning point in US-Iran relations and contribute to long-term peace and stability across the Middle East.
