Lahore (Republic PK) Maryam Nawaz, Chief Minister of Punjab’s efforts have borne fruit, she has directed to provide 20,000 green tractors to farmers in the next financial year.
According to the details, high-power green tractors, high-tech combined harvesters and super seeders, which have entered the era of Punjab Agriculture Mechanization, have reached the fields.
Green Tractor Scheme
In the Green Tractor Scheme of CM Maryam Nawaz, 9500 high-power tractors are getting a subsidy of Rs 1 million. Farmers are getting 10,000 tractors of 50 to 65 horsepower along with a subsidy of Rs 500,000.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a subsidy of Rs 1.5 million will be given on high-horsepower tractors and a subsidy of Rs 750,000 on tractors of 50 to 65 horsepower.
For the first time in Punjab, farmers in the province received interest-free loans of up to Rs 30 million for the purchase of 12 types of high-tech machinery. About 200 high-tech combined harvesters were used for the first time to harvest wheat.
On the other hand, rice farmers in Punjab received 5,000 superseeders to eliminate environmental pollution, through which rice cultivation was completed on 1.4 million acres. In the second phase, another 5,000 superseeders are being given to rice farmers.

Maryam Nawaz said that it is my aim to guide the farmer brothers on the path of innovation. Agricultural mechanization will not only reduce costs but also increase production. We are also providing the facility of getting the latest agricultural machinery on rent for small farmers, she added.
