Bahawalpur (Republic Pk) A newborn girl’s arm was allegedly broken during birth at Victoria Hospital, and the family has accused the doctors and hospital staff of negligence.
The victim says that untrained staff and doctors applied unnecessary force during delivery, which damaged the newborn’s arm.
After the incident, the hospital administration formed a three-member inquiry committee to investigate the matter.
According to MS Victoria Hospital Dr. Abdul Rehman, the committee includes Dr. Shakeela Yasmin, Dr. Farrukh Zaidi and Dr. Anila Ali, who will review all aspects of the incident and submit a report. The newborn girl was immediately shifted to the Pediatric ICU and treatment started.
Hospital sources say that an attempt was initially made to deliver the affected woman at home, but she was transferred to Victoria Hospital after complications arose.
